The present lecture aims to shed light on the Import and Export letters of credit in order to identify all their terms and conditions (Parties involved – Types of banks– Documents required – Special conditions). The lecture will also focus on the different types of a letter of credit, the different modes of payment and the standard process and pitfalls under each type of letter of credit. The incoterms 2010 will also be treated and the last segment of the lecture will be focusing on the transport documents submitted under a letter of credit (Marine Bill of Lading – Freight Forwarder Bill of Lading – Charter Party Bill of Lading – Airway Bill – Truck Consignment Note).
